River Beatty
Cultivation Manager, Propagation Manager, Community Outreach
James River Txai Beatty, 23, is the eldest son of Jamie Beatty and Chiah Rodriques. River has a real intuition for plants and a deep sense of connection to the land at River Txai Farms. We named the farm after him as the first born, he was born here at home just like his brother True. River is a third generation cannabis enthusiast and has a knack for cloning and cannabis breeding with our special legacy cultivars. Beside using cannabis to inspire himself to create art and play music he also used cannabis and cannabis topicals for his Lyme Disease symptoms. One of his favorite things to do is coming up with creative names for our flavors of unique cultivars.
Txai is a word we discovered through a Brazilian friend Lilia Lobo de Albuquerque on her show on our local public radio KZYX &Z who inspired the name because of a song named Txai she played on her radio show. The word Txai inspired by the local indigenous language of the Kaxinawa, of Brazil which means companion. For us that word's meaning is much more meaningful because Txai is used to symbolize a gesture of friendship with which you are welcomed, creating at every moment the simplest reasons to celebrate life through Better Living Through Cannabis.
